Happy to be part of the ‘VC Growth’ advisory team at the Venture Café in Rotterdam, helping to define real ‘cut-the-crap’ ‘Get growing’ sessions at the Thursday Gatherings in the month of April 2019.
Who is in the ‘VC Growth’ advisory team?
The best teams consist of people with complementary competencies, sharing the same objectives and values. And Laura van Bekkum did a great job I think. The team consists of (from left to right):
– Laura van Bekkum (Venture Café )
– Robbin Hoogstraten (Symbid)
– Liduina Hammer (Uniqq)
Why ‘cut-the-crap’ sessions around ‘Get growing’ during the month of April 2019?
One of the first things we discussed during our first meeting is that a lot of crap and nonsense is said about and around growing and scaling and how to do that. One of the issues around that is the emphasis on ‘pitching’ and external financing and especially subsidies instead of making money from the first moment until successful growing and scaling with paying customers.
The emphasis should much more be on how to differentiate yourself, how to make money and how to organize your business step–by-step.
So that is why we call the sessions during the Thursday Gatherings around ‘Growing’ in april the ‘cut-the-crap’ sessions.
Check out the sessions here if you want to know more. And if you have ideas for ‘cut-the-crap’sessions’ write me a short email here or call me on 06-34387806. See you tomorrowevening at the VC in Rotterdam!
