The internet and therefor also online marketing has moved on… and what worked before is now obsolete. Boring text gets ignored… and even images too. Now, in 2019, social storytelling and especially social story videos take visual marketing to a whole new level. In this first blog, I will explain what ‘Social Story Videos’ are and why they are so successful.

What are ‘Social Story Videos’?

“Social Story Videos’ are in general short videos (upto 15 seconds) that are published on differen social media platforms like Facebook, Instagram, Snapchat, Tiwtter, WhatsApp & LinkedIn”.

Why are they so popular?

The reason short online storytelling and especially social story videos work is because they’re easier to digest than regular text, images and long videos…We live in a world of short attention spans, where people crave bitesize video content that’s entertaining and easy to consume. Which is great news for you as a smart business owner… because you don’t need to create long videos that cost big bucks to produce anymore as part of your online marketing strategy and your online content marketing strategy.

What’s next?

In the next blog on ‘Social Storytelling, ‘Social Story Videos’ and ‘Social Story Marketing’, we will look at what social stories are and why they are so popular and so effective.
